Squirrels Playschool and Daycare

Our indoor area (Paarl and Wellington):

We are currently using four rooms at our Paarl branch (a fifth room will become available in 2010) and four at our Wellington branch. Please view our gallery and daily routine pages for pictures.

	All furniture (e.g. cots and changing surfaces) are custom-made from solid wood with non-toxic finishers. No children sleep on the floors.

	All rooms and facilities have been approved and certified by the Department of Social Services, and are cleaned daily to ensure maximum standards of hygiene.

Our outside play area Paarl:

This is divided into two main sections:

The grassed area in the front is used by all our groups at different times during the summer months. This is a cool shaded area and our outdoor equipment is moved onto the grass when needed. This area is enclosed by a security fence and the only way in is via our security gate. Children are therefore safe and there is no risk of any stranger entering the grounds or of a child running into the road. This area is only used in summer as the grass becomes very muddy in winter.

Our back enclosed area is used in summer as well as in winter. Again there are two sections one for the babies and toddlers and one for the older children. This area is paved and gated and no child is able to get out. There are plans to enlarge this area in the course of 2010.

Our outside play area Wellington:

	This consists of a lage stoop in front of the school as well as a large garden area adjacent to it .

Our outdoor areas are maintained daily to ensure safety and cleanliness at all times .

Children are supervised at all times while outside.
